Lance Garrick

Lance Garrick, SFC, US Army (Ret.), served 25 years in the US Air Force and Minnesota Army National Guard. He holds an Associate of Arts degree from Inver Hills Community College. Lance has lived in Red Wing for 34 years, where he owns Computers on the Go. He is married with one child and is the incoming Commander for the Post and President of the Hiawatha Valley Beyond the Yellow Ribbon organization, supporting service members, their families, and veterans.

Gregg Kirkland

  

 Gregg Kirkland began his tenure as First Vice Commander in June 2024. He previously served as an E Board member and Second Vice Commander for a year each. Gregg's military career includes four years of active duty in the Air Force during the Vietnam War era, where he achieved the rank of E-4 Sergeant. A notable highlight of his service as a security policeman was saving an infant from choking. After retiring early from his civilian career, Gregg is now enjoying retirement with his wife.

Mike Mueller


  

Mike Mueller enlisted in the Minnesota Army National Guard while a senior in high school. He served 33 years, most of it in various units in the 34th “Red Bull” Division and retired as a Master Sergeant. After retirement he worked for the National Guard Bureau as a civilian Human Resource Specialist for an addition 14 years. 

Mike assumed his current position at the Legion in June 2024. Prior to this he served 3 years on the Executive Board. 

Mike is married to Pam his wife of 47 years and they have 2 adult children.

Darwin Christofferson

 Darwin Christofferson has been serving as the Post Adjutant since June 2022, bringing a wealth of experience from his distinguished 26-year career in the Navy, both on active duty and in the reserves. Achieving the rank of E-8, Darwin's service was highlighted by many opportunities to travel the world. Prior to his current role, he served as the Post Commander from 2018 through 2022, demonstrating his leadership and dedication to his comrades. Darwin is a proud father of four children and a doting grandfather to seven grandchildren.
